This year I’m teaching 7th and 8th graders again!  I had grown so accustomed to my 6th graders over the last two years, that I had forgotten how much I enjoy older middle school students.

We started out the year with a fun drawing project so that I could get to know them individually.  They each took their own fingerprints and then used their unique designs to create an enlarged drawing as the base for a typography activity that expresses their individuality.  Here are a few examples:
