Our first day in Yogyakarta was spent getting the lay of the land. We wondered through the city taking in the sites and looking for breakfast. We had a destination in mind, what we didn’t realize was that the lonely planet map was not to scale and that things heat up quickly here. The walk was less than enjoyable by the end which accounts for fewer pictures. We finally made it to our breakfast location about an hour a half later. Interestingly enough Via Via turned out to be a chain that also has a location in Copan, Honduras. We have eaten at that one as well. Small world. I’m posting a few pictures from the first day and am currently working on the Borobudur pictures.
