So I’ve been learning all sorts of new words from my 10th graders that I would love to tell you all about, but unfortunately most of them are entirely inappropriate for the blog. Yesterday was just such a case where they took the time to explain a slang term to me that basically means hyperactive, but stems from a word that I shall not repeat in this forum. Let’s just say that 10th grade discretion leaves a bit to be desired and what they consider a “bad word” is far from what I would consider a bad word. Although it has not taken me long to realize this since I spend a good portion of my day saying, “watch your language.” In fact I say it so much that I actually have boys who repeat it to each other now just with a look from me.
