Of course we’ve been seeing all sorts of pictures in the news about the flooding in the midwest, but it hit closer to home witnessing it first hand. Our drive to the outlet mall from Marengo, IL after visiting Alex’s grandpa was quite the ordeal when we found practically every road we needed closed. Even though the flooding is down, many roads and fields we saw still had standing water. Detour after detour finally led us through a parade and festival in Lake Mills and we ended up back on the highway again.
