We headed into Genoa and had a couple of days to explore the city. We didn’t visit as many museums as in Milan(Although Bill and Gail definitely did). We chose to simply wander the city and enjoy the architecture.
Genoa seemed to have a little bit grittier feel to it, but definitely had a lot of cool architecture and some great people watching opportunities. We also may have accidentally booked an airbnb in the red light district. Which meant that it was not the quietest at night but it had some great restaurants and shops making for an interesting mix of people. One guy who sparked a conversation with Bill equated it to the Old Quarter in New Orleans.
