Wheel Thrown Place Settings

I completely fell off the blogging bandwagon.  Whoops!  Here I am with an attempt to climb back on, but I’m making no promises as grad school and teaching school have both been kicking my butt lately.  I’ll do my best though… 🙂

My Ceramics II students worked on a wheel throwing project before Christmas where they were required to make a unified place setting that included a cup, a bowl, and a plate.  They learned how to throw cylinders in Ceramics I so this assignment was a lot more advanced.  We also got a chance to use our brand new high fire dipping glazes so that their pieces would be both professional looking AND food-safe!
