Coil Pots

It was not without some serious frustration (aka rebuilding of pots two, three, four times after they collapsed), but the finished coil pots my high school students made are really impressive!
They showed amazing patience and perseverance and created really beautiful large-scale work. Each pot is at least 30 cm. tall.

I tried to be organized and photograph the pots before the students put them on display, but once the due date hit, I missed a lot as they frantically tried to get all of their stuff turned in on time (they had another piece due the same day–post to come!).
It’s hard to photograph the pieces in the display cases because of the reflection, but here are all of them for the full effect.

  1. Wow. I hope you tell your students that your mother is applauding their work here in the States. Beautiful, creative, out of the box inspiring. Well done, each and every one. And I love how you have them displayed. Lots of good light and white space. Nice job, Caitlin.
