Cuenca is Ecuador’s third largest city and is located in the South of the country. We flew there for our four day weekend at the end of October to enjoy the cobblestone streets and colonial churches, and of course to buy hats as you read before. Cuenca is a UNESCO world heritage site and is famous for its many many churches. I think it has something like 10 million churches…..literally. Here are a few of the ones we liked best:
