Much of Alex’s family lives in Irapuato so we spent most of the week here staying at his grandparents’ house. While there were many days that we headed off to other cities or to spend time with family at the ranch, we also got a chance to see a little bit of Irapuato.
One evening we headed down to the historic center to check out the cathedral and to find some hot dogs. While the hot dog stand had apparently moved, we still wandered through the cathedral and checked out the market.
We also found hot dogs later by the grocery store. (for those who don’t know, traditional hot dogs in Irapuato are wrapped in bacon and topped with chopped onion, tomato, ketchup, mustard, and jalapeños….mmmmm)
