Apartment Artwork

Here’s a photo of our new painting. Sorry about the glare, but it turned out much too blurry without the flash (maybe because I was standing on a plastic stool and holding the camera above my head….). The painting is about 3×4 feet and we are planning to put it in our upstairs hallway. We have yet to get it on the wall because the stretcher is pretty warped. We’re going to look into getting it framed at the local frame store (where they practically know us by name now) so hopefully in the next week or two!
ps…for a really stunning look, click on the photo to make it bigger!

I have also included a picture of our living room so you can see how we are decorating there. Because of all the pictures we have been taking, Alex and I decided to be real grown-ups and get some stuff professionally framed. We found a store in the mall that will enlarge our digital images into several different sizes. Then, two blocks from our house there is a frame store (that happens to be owned by the family of one of my students). Although the framing felt expensive we figure that we spent about 1/3rd what we would have for the same photos in the states. Our plan is to collect several pictures every few months, have them framed, and add them to the living room/dining room wall. At the end of two years we should have a fabulous collection of photos to decorate a place back in the states!

  1. I finally figured out what Kathy/mom meant about the view from above.WOW! What a great piece of art. It is really beautiful! Your apartment looks nice also, much bigger than I thought it might be.

I've been around for quite a lot of time, but finally decided to show my appreciation of your work!

Thumbs up, and keep it going!
