This past spring break we headed to Malaysia as Caitlin had a conference she had to attend and it was an opportunity for some warmer weather and to see some old friends. But before doing that I headed to Sipidan to do some diving off a converted oil rig.

The rig provided a great jump off point to go diving and get some relaxation in. I got a chance to read a few books and see a bunch of aquatic life between the books. There was everything from frog fish, batfish, leaf fish to huge schools of jacks. I also got the chance to see a few sharks which always makes this more exciting. I didn’t take the underwater camera as I wanted to simply enjoy diving again without worrying about getting the right shot. I did manage to take a few pictures from the rig, but otherwise it was a nice vacation without being behind the lens.
