As an extension of my birthday (because let’s face it, it lasts all month), we spent last weekend in Baños, a town about 4 hours south of Quito. We spent the first night in town, eating massive amounts of meat at an Argentinean restaurant and passing out early, exhausted from the bus ride. On Saturday, we headed out of town and up the hill to Luna Runtun, a fancy hotel with thermal pools that overlooks the city. We enjoyed a lazy afternoon, soaking in the pools and playing dice with Erin and Andy, followed by dinner and playing cards with Erin and Andy. It was a wonderful, relaxing weekend with amazing views of Baños.
