We have all sorts of interesting fruit here in Ecuador that you just don’t find in the States. Maybe it’s due to the fact that we aren’t used to eating this fruit in the first place, but it often doesn’t occur to us to buy it when we’re at the store! So in an attempt to increase our fruit purchases, I have decided to blog about them (not that activities in my life revolve around what I can post on the blog or anything….).
So to start with:
Granadilla
About the size of a racquet ball, you break the fruit open and eat the slimy seeds out of the inside! Tastes sweet and has a nice crunch to go with the slimy mucous like substance. 🙂
GREAT!!

Hmmm, I like fruit, but I am not so sure about this one. And, you may not want to go into marketing Cait. “slimey mucus” might not sell a lot of fruit… 😉
